Hi Jacinto,

Thank you for testing the new version!

code for controlling AD8331 VGA with MCP4725 DAC (thanks to DC2PD)

this one I can't remember what is about, will have to check later or do you have any more information (links)

Peter DC2PD has developed a new pre-amplifier board for Red Pitaya. It is based on the AD8331 variable gain amplifier and can be controlled from PowerSDR mRX PS using the Hermes Step Attenuator controls.

Best regards,

Hi,

Today I decided to try the audio codec chip TLV320AIC using a old EDEN DSP board (ver: 1.1) that I didn't used a long time ago, but was working OK, I removed the unecessary parts and change the mode/cs pins to ground so I can use I2C control and used lines I2S for audio control/clock. It's working very well on playback, good audio but the mic/line is not working for me, already double check everything and still no mic/line.
As anyone on the forum tried to use the audio codec chip with the red pitaya and want to share experience ?

I'm using 0.94-1336 version

Thank you,

Jacinto

I use RP and HPSDR software from pavel (0.94.1337) and I have some issues on audio configuration for Tx (SSB and other modes).
I tried with PwerSDR mrx and with Quisk and always the result is the same : Very bad audio during Tx (Rx is always very good !) : audio with many "craks" and with a high level of noise.
I tried 2 different microphone, and 2 different mic. inputs in my PC and the result is the same, noise and "craks".
Could this be done by a bad configuration on PowerSDR mrx , not sure as I have same result with Quisk ....
Other hypothesis could be a lack of power of my PC (CPU = 50 % during Tx) ?

Does somebody experiment these issues ?
Thanks in advance for all feedback,

What SD card image are you using?

Right now, the SD card images available from http://redpitaya.com/quick-start have a compatibility problem. Hopefully, they'll be soon fixed by the Red Pitaya developers.

As a workaround, I’d suggest to use the previous version (0.95) of the SD card images. These images are available from the following links:

Pavel,
Thanks for your answer. I'm using 0.95 image from redpitaya.
I've also tried image from your github.
The result is the same : When I control my Tx Audio (with an external Rx), the audio is very poor with many stange noise.
I can't understand what is wrong in my setup....

Thanks for this post and the link. I have been going in circles thinking I had a hardware signal overload issue on receive. I was running the SDR receiver with the 0.96 version of the OS, and experiencing intermod signal spikes that were only 25 db down from the actual CW signals. Backing off to the 0.95 version in your link corrected this issue.

The good news is now I have a really good BCB filter in the system to knock down 0.680 and 0.850 broadcast stations. Also a very clean RFI free 5v power supply.

Had a cross check on 160m by K2AV, whose signal here on CW skimmer is easily 50db SNR. Zero intermod issues generated on his testing. Looking like this will be a much better CW skimmer than my previous experiments with softrocks.

hello RP SDR User,
I have a problem with the new image
Ecosystem-0.95-1-6deb253-sdr transceiver-hpsdr

The Android App HPSDR 1.34 is no longer running.
No waterfall, no spectrum, no RX

The old version ran well
sdr_transceiver_hpsdr-0.94-1303

What am I doing wrong

Hi Pavel,

I tried to contact Peter DC2PD but until now I didn't have a reply ... so I was thinking, if you want to implement code to control this digital attenuator board, based on PE4306

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RF-ATTENUATOR-0 ... xyiRlSan6z

The main use will be with Powersdr of course ...
