Reducing Power consumption

Post by Johannes » Wed Apr 25, 2018 2:34 pm

Hello,
I am currently trying to use two red pitayas to record a couple of signals. My problem is that they get really hot in the box they are in. I tried different fans and connecting the aluminium casings of the red pitayas directly to the walls of the aluminium box via thermal pads but all these attempts didnt get the red pitays cool enough/ introduced interferences via the fan.

Has anyone ever tried reducing the power consumption of the red pitaya?
What do you think is the main culprit? PS or PL?

Hi and thank you for posting.

For special applications where there are heat concerns we just released a customised heatsink interface for it
