Record/log measurement data

Post by quiquitos » Sat Mar 04, 2017 12:34 am

Hi,
I need to measure data coming from the analog input during 10 seconds, sampling at 20kS/s. I need to record that data in a file so that later i can process it offline. Can i do this with the redpitaya ? Thanks a lot!

Hi,
you wont be able to hit your 20kSps exactly - without extensive modifications, the nearest supported rates are 122k and 15k - but you could use a higher rate and downsample in postprocessing. Recording for 10s at 122kSps to a file is possible with a little bit of C programming.

Thanks a lot for the answer @Nils. Just to clarify, when i log data, the data is stored locally in the red pitaya and then transferred to the PC ? or the measurements are transferred in real time to my PC and then logged in there? Thanks a lot

That's up to you. Either way is possible.
