Scope trouble

Post by HD13 » Mon Oct 16, 2017 6:18 pm

Using the Red Pitaya stemlab 125-10
Running a 50Hz output signal (Red Pitaya) through the primary side of 1:1 transformer.
And depending on the timescale I get a different phase shifting on the secondary output compared to the input signal.
See attachments for detail.
Doesn't seem right to me. :(

In addition, I'd like to tell that I have also experienced some scope trouble yet.
Output 1 was straightly connected to Input 1, transmitting a sine wave. Suddenly (maybe I used the scale buttons), a 180° phase shift appeared between output and input. The "INVERT" button was disabled, I checked this.
Rebooting Red Pitaya/stemlab 125-14 solved this issue.

Hi,

plots of the output and input signal are not phase aligned. The generator plot always starts with the phase 0 on the left side of the graph, however oscilloscope signal is phase aligned with the trigger, which is in your case in the middle of the screen. The intention of the generator plot is to show the type of the signal being generated not to show the phase delay.

To see the phase delay between the input and output, split the output through a T connector and connect to input 1 and the DUT. Then connect the output from DUT to the input 2, show booth inputs and hide the output.

kind regards Red Pitaya team
