Lots of questions about, SCPI and Visual Programing

Hi,

Can anybody help me?
1) Visual Programing?
My board does not connect and the best troubleshooting advice is refresh my browser?
The current method of quick start is wrong.
2) SCPI
If I go to the Visual programing the code conversion does not even use scpi, and it is way more understandable for me and basic any NOOb. BUT even that is useless as the only resolution to fixing my visual programing problem is by refreshing my browser or clearing my cache.

I want to use this brilliant hardware, but using the software seems that I should be a Linux specialist. How can I solve my problems and using the Redpitaya website is useless!!!

Notice. at latest OS after starting your Red Pitaya you need to start Visual Programming server.
Just click RUN button on Visual Programming page (when you start your Red Pitaya board and access it via web browser start VP (same as you would start other app) and follow instructions)

Regarding the SCPI is also simple.
when you start your Red Pitaya board and access it via web browser start SCPI server
then simply go to MATLAB and run one of the examples.

Hi,

I am currently working with MatLab via the SCPI server. Just getting a little frustrated at some of the Commands not working: For Example: ACQ:SRAT 15_MHz replies with ERR ERR ERR! On the visual programing side, I think there must be a problem with a connection to South Africa or something? Already watched the youtube video. My visual programming interface does not recognise my board and the server does not show any sign of starting the Visual Programing? Any log files I may send someone?

Also your SCPI_commands_beta_release is a bit outdated, The for example it states to use text like "INP" instead of the correct "IN".

The link on the page "redpitaya.com/control/" refer to very outdated SCPI documentation (19.3.2015)

More recent can be found at "wiki.redpitaya.com"
in the section 3.Matlab/Python/LabView/SciLab Interface
list of supported SCPI commands (3.3.2016), however there are still some errors

The function ACQ:SRAT <par> was removed and can be only queried
as expalined in https://github.com/RedPitaya/RedPitaya/ ... cpi-server

You have to use decimation factor instead.

Another errors
ACQ:DATA:FORMAT <PAR> where PAR can be ASCII or BIN (not FLOAT as given in documentation)

or examples where is wrongly showed an extra GET:
