The RedPitaya project and end users would all benefit from native support for RTCs. I've been asking/searching around these forums and others for years now trying to find a practical solution to using an RTC with the RedPitaya. It seems every solution requires a full rebuild of the kernel, or something similar. I have attempted such a thing using the official documentation. However, the documentation is, for a software novice, practically unusable.
I hate to draw this comparison, but it takes only a few steps/package installs to get an RTC working on a raspberrypi: https://learn.adafruit.com/adding-a-rea ... t-rtc-time
Really hoping for RTC support in the future
Are there plans for RTC support in future OS?
