LCR Meter web interface explanation
Hi, anybody that has already figured out where to get an explanation of the GUI interface for the LCR Meter?
I have checked http://wiki.redpitaya.com/index.php?tit ... ya-lcr.pdf, but still cannot figure out the following:
Frequency sweep is pretty obvious and self-explanatory about the meaning of the various entries.
Measurement sweep ? ... I am probably missing something here ...

It would also be useful to be able to copy the file which contains the individual data points used for generating the plots. Does anybody know where that file is saved in the SD card?

or in RAM, for that matter (Windows users would then be able to read it by connecting through WinSCP).

Hello there, thank you for your questions.
First inputs are for basics settings. Excitation signal amplitude ; set to 1 V shunt resistor value (value of resistor that you use in your measurements ), averaging (numbers of measurements that are executed and averaged for final results).
DC bias : for electrolyte capacitor meas. (not implemented in current LCR meter).
Measurement sweep is, for example, if you are measuring impedance that is time dependent.
If you want to get the measured data, you run LCR from terminal or matlab and you will get the whole table of measurements.

Hello,
I am trying to do some measurements on ferrite cores with the LCR meter.
I think this program has a huge potential so I started to do some test measurements on resistors first.
Since I get some values that I did not expect I wanted to calibrate the program. But how do I do such a thing
I have red the Redpitaya-lcr.pdf but calibration is not mentioned. Anyone?

Hmm I am wondering who is willing to help in this open source community.
For an open source board there is very little information available regretfully.
Meanwhile I have found an error in the documentation regarding the LCR meter.
In the user manual of the Red Pitaya which can be found here:

there is indicated to connect out1 to in1.
And in2 is connected between DUT and shunt.
However in the LCR meter user and developer guide it is different:

Here out1 connects to in2.
In1 is connected between DUT and shunt.
My measurements show that the user manual is the correct way.
But it still leaves me the question:
How can I calibrate the LCR measurements?

About the user manual, well, the picture is correct.
Regarding the measurement of a resistor, you should get accurate results if you use shunt resistor in a range described in the user manual.
The Calibration process is not yet implemented on LCR meter, nevertheless, you should get accurate measurements without it.
Calibration / Correction process is necessary when you have long leeds and high frequencies.
