Hi Forum. I would like to measure vibration (<300Hz with amplitude of 2mV-120mV) using an accelerometer which outputs 1000mV/g. Specs say input sensitivity is 10mV with 10mV/division which I think is too coarse, but perhaps it is not ?

Where did you find the 10mV figure ? Nominally, on LV setting the input resolution is 2V / 2^14 = 122µV .

Thanks Nils. Couldn't find the figure in my browser history, but I'm glad it's much finer. What can one hope to achieve for accuracy in the LV setting ? Found the following page on calibration, is it smart to run this on a new board ?

I suggest you measure that yourself. I have not evaluated that myself, and I suspect it varies with the operating environment (PSU, shielding, ...).What can one hope to achieve for accuracy in the LV setting ?
This calibration procedure is still valid.Found the following page on calibration, is it smart to run this on a new board ?
