Power connector

Post by mpoloton » Fri May 27, 2016 12:06 am

Hi,

I would like to use my RP as part of a system which moves considerably. MicroUSB is not a very secure connection and I would like to solder wires to the board and connect it to a rugged connector. I suspect TP10 and TP11 are GND and VCC. However, I am not sure about a SMD component labeled 269L (I am not sure whether it's a diode or capacitor). My worry is by passing this component if I connect power to TP10 and TP11. MY board is V1.0 . I appreciate your help.

According to the page 6 of the board schematics, TP10 is connected to 5VDin before the power protection.
