Hi,
I'm trying to do the
"myFirstApp" example.
If I enter the following command (bash via PuTTY)
Code: Select all
cp -r /root/RedPitaya/Examples/web-tutorial/1.template ./myFirstApp
I will get the following response
Code: Select all
cp: cannot create directory './myFirstApp': Read-only file system
The rights of the "apps" directory are rwxr-xr-x.
The same problem will occur if I try to do the same using duplicate command in WinSCP.
P.S. I'm a linux newbe.

Duplicating the "opt" directory including subdirectories, renaming the old one into "opt_old" and the new one into "opt" solves the write protection issue. But then, the Red Pitaya's web UI doesn't show the installed web apps any longer. Re-installing from the application marketplace isn't neither possible.

Solution: invoking 'rw' command before.
Unfortunately, I thought that I could skip tutorial chapter "3.2.1.2.1. Preparations", because I already cloned git repository while exercising chapter "3.2.9. Compiling and running C applications".
But I still don't understand why this is necessary although rights are rwxr-xr-x.
