Logic Analyzer: Simple or Subprint for more Performance/Func

Hallo Guys!

I'm thinking about a Logik Analyzer function in the Red Pitaya. Because in some posts i can find
"...i need serial communication analyzer..." and
"...i need ... about I2C..." and some other requirements. All this are all functions of a classic logic analyzer.

Questions to the Community and to the Red Pitaya Management:
Are planned to do this? Does someone work on this Feature? If not, what can do the community to work on this? (Inclusive myself)

My idea ist to make a simplified version and a subprint for advanced feature (e.g. more memory deepth, trigger functions and IO for different interface (voltage, hysteresis, etc.).

---- Sorry if my englisch is not 100% perfect. Best way to make practice! :-) ---

Greetings
Toni

The only reason why I don't buy this fabulous looking product is - there is no Logic Analyser cable kit and software. Someone should tell the designers of this product that 95% of electronics development is digital and only 5% is analogue. Adaptors for 8-channel and 16-channel would be very attractive.

Hello Guys!

On the Info Mail, from 21.04.2016, wrote Red Pitaya Team:

...snip...

We are already working on future improvements, so here’s what's coming next:

- Logic analyzer (estimated beta release in May 2016)
- WIFI wizard (estimated beta release in May 2016)
- Discovery tool - it will simplify the way of connecting to your Red Pitaya in your local network (estimated beta release in May 2016)

...snip...

Question to Red Pitaya Team: Do you have new information about logic analyzer work?

Greetings

Yes, logic analyser is completed and is planed to be relased in a week.

At the moment we still have some issues with network wizard, but we expect to be finished soon.
Regarding the Discovery tool we decided to use Bonjur service so it will be now
possible to connect to RP by simply writing boards url in to browser (e.g. http://redpitaya-002632f01729.local/) - finally it will be no longer necessary to use the online discovery.
best regards, Red Pitaya team

Hello,
I have discovered your new extension board with logic analyser software today on the shop :D
However I did not find any documentation about it
I am really curious about it :
-Is it possible to have some picture of the extension board ?
-Which connector is used ? only the connector with 8 I/O and communication bus or also the second with the 16 I/O ?
-The SD card still accessible with the case ?
-What is the max speed decoded on the bus (I2C, SPI & UART) ?

Nice evening !
Arthur

Download and install the latest image (0.96) from here. The logicanalyzer software is preinstalled in it. You'll only need to activate the license that should have been put into your account with the purchase of the LA.

1) Ok, new OS is running.
2) I bought it from ELEKTOR. I got no license.
