Triggered Signal Generator faster 2kHz

Hello everyone,

We are currently trying to run a newly purchased Red Pitaya as a triggered signal source that should ouput an arbitrary waveform on a given TTL trigger.

For testing purposes we use the "Signal Generating at 125 MS/s > Generate signal on fast analog outputs with external triggering" example from the homepage.
While testing, triggering slower than 2 kHz works perfectly but as soon as the trigger exceeds 2 kHz the Red Pitaya seems to ignore incoming trigger signals until 0.5 ms (2kHz) have passed. I have attached two images from an oscilloscope, one with a trigger frequency of 1.999kHz and one with 2.001 kHz
Is there an internal limit to how fast the RP can be triggered and if yes a way around that?
In the end we would like to use TTL signals in the MHz regime if possible to average over many sequences that can be several microseconds short.

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Daniel

Thank you for bringing this up. We need to investigate this, we can do it after our new 250SDR model will be released in a month or so.
