Oscilloscope app locks up after oscillator frequency delta

I am a new to this so please forgive me if this is pilot error. I just got the RP board 3 days ago.
I loaded the latest firmware v0.94-RC10_31-Oct.
Connecting output 1 to input 1 I brought up the oscilloscope function. Turned the output on and observed the waveform.
Then I tried to change the frequency to 20KHz and the application locks up. I tried stopping and starting and the app seems dead.
When it does return to the Select and instrument page, the list is empty. Cycling power and I can get my list of applications back.

Is the board defective?

Found it, power supply issue....
