Hi All,
I was wondering if one can generate a frequency smeared (dispersed) pulsed signal on the RFout and take it in on the RFin to play around with some filters that were implemented on the FPGA?
Thanks

Re: Frequency smeared pulsed signal
Hi.
That depends on the complexity of both the frequency smeared pulse train and of the filters you want to use. In principle it is possible, but there are limitations to what you can implement.
The RFout generator is limited to playing back from a 16384 sample buffer at programmable rates. If you can formulate the pulses algorithmically, this need not concern you.
Regarding the filters, you are only limited by the available resources in the FPGA.
