Automatic start-up of SCPI server for OS 0.93

Post by myoshizawa » Thu Apr 14, 2016 10:21 am

Hi,

I would be happy, if some one gives me a tip.

I am trying to make an apparatus by using RedPitaya. I am adopting OS 0.93 now, because my LabVIEW programs work well without any problem and OS 0.94 is not yet complete. I want to start up SCPI server automatically at boot time. Automatic start-up method is equipped for OS 0.94 as

systemctl enable redpitaya_scpi

Please let me know how to start up scpi-server automatically for OS 0.93.

With 0.93 and earlier, you would start it in the /etc/init.d/S* scripts. They are built into the ramdisk image, so not very straightforward to change.
If you don't want to rebuild the ramdisk image, put the commands in /opt/etc/init.d/rcS . I say commands because you should stop nginx ("killall nginx") before starting the scpi-server.
