Sending the bitstream fpga.bin into RedPitaya

Post by victorhkr » Thu Aug 25, 2016 6:35 pm

Hello I am following the fpga blink led tutorial, now I have to send the file fpga.bin to the rp board, i am not using the ethernet cables, so i can't use SSH. I am using the usb port and connecting to rp with it. My OS is Linux Mint and i am using gtkterm app. Is there a way to send the file to it using usb communication? Please help me.

The easiest way in your case would probably be to put the file on an usb stick and plug that into your Red Pitaya.

The usb console connection is just the standard input / output / error streams tunneled over a serial link. It may be possible to transfer files over it with some shell-magic, but I don't know how and a quick search gave no obvious answers.
