Generate Pulse with FPGA of the RP

Hey, I'm learning FPGA programming with the Red Pitaya and i have a question: I would like to generate a pulse for 4ms - 5ms and then I get it out by the Tx channel or by the extension connectors. Can u pls tell me how to do this pls and with wich software ?
