CORDIC : signal output conversion

Post by kris13 » Sat Nov 03, 2018 3:53 pm

Hello All,

I'd like to use a Cordic module to generate a sinusoidal signal that must be sent to the 1st DAC output.
The CORDIC generates a sin/cos vector as a pair of fixed-point twos complement numbers with an integer width of 2 bits (00 : positive sign, 11 : negative sign).
For Instance :
X_OUT: “0010110110” => 00.10110110 => 0.711 -> Cos
Y_OUT: “1101001011” => 11.01001011 => - 0.703 -> Sin

X_OUT -1 <= X_OUT <= 1 range for Output Cos( )
Y_OUT -1 <= Y_OUT <= 1 range for Output Sin( )

Is there an IP module that could convert these numbers into a 14bit unsigned format (the DAC) or do I have to write my own module ?

Best regards,
