High frequency PWM from GPIOs

Hello,
I need to generate at least 8 PWMs using the GPIOs with configurable properties such as duty cicle, frequency and phase shift. The frequency needs to be at least 1 Mhz. Can someone give me some tips on how to start?
How do you recommand doing it?
