Boot from USB

Post by LeNe » Tue Jul 30, 2019 8:50 am

Hi,

I am curious whether it is possible to boot the redpitaya from a USB stick. My goal is to flash the SD card without removing it from the Redpitaya with content downloaded over ethernet. My idea to this end was to have a separate OS for this on a USB stick, boot from that one, flash the SD card with content downloaded from the internet, and reboot from the new SD card.

Did anyone try anything similar?

Leo

At the moment this possibility hasn't been implemented. Without removing the SD card, it is possible only to update with original img. from the settings web menu.
