Failure with script OS/debian/image.sh

Hello,
I try to run the script image.sh my host OS is Ubuntu 18.04 and I use the latest from the master branch
I'm getting the following error message
install: cannot change ownership of 'root/etc/apt/sources.list': Operation not permitted
chroot: cannot change root directory to 'root': Operation not permitted
Attached is the build log. Cant figure out why it is not working.
Any help would be appreciated,
