PWM in redpitaya

hallo everyone,
I have a little question regarding redpitaya (pulse width modulation).
I am trying to generate pwm-signal over gpio-port using python language.
which library are used to generate pwm-signal and also gpio?
for information, I am not using the interface of redpitaya because i am measuring the signal with external Oscilloscope.
I appreciate any help and thank you in advance.
