How to Generate continuous DIGITAL signal

Hello everybody.
I am wondering if it is possible to generate straight DIGITAL signal from RedPitaya board or how to do this in LABView? I would like to implement SW in LABView, that generates and obtains digital signal with user specified digital modulation and some other parameters. On Red Pitaya´s pages are some code examples in LABView for signal generation but that is analog signal as far as I know.
So is it necessary to use that analog signal generation from red pitaya´s examples and then use some A/D converter in LABView, or is there some way how to generate digital signal in LABView straight from Red Pitaya board? I am using STEMlab 125-14.
