plink, matlab and serial

Post by Storm » Wed Sep 10, 2014 10:09 am

Hi,
I'm attempting to use matlab to send commands to and receive data from my red pitaya. Unfortunately the examples in the manual for using plink only cover web connections.

At the moment when I try to execute the following in matlab:

Code: Select all

dos('plink RPS “/opt/bin/generate 1 2 50000 sine”');
Which is effectively the same as the command in the user manual, except RPS is the putty saved setup I use to connect via serial
All that happens is that it turns the matlab console into a terminal (and doesn't execute the generate command), which isn't very useful for me.

Have anyone had any success connecting to it in this way or will I simply have to wait until IT assigns me yet another IP address so I can just connect via SSH like a normal person?

Try inputing the absolute path for plink:

Code: Select all

dos('"C:\Program Files\MATLAB\plink" -l root -pw root 10.0.0.227 "/opt/bin/acquire 12"');
(i copied plink to the MATLAB folder...)

you can always copy that command to the cmd and see what went wrong.
