Hi John,

The quote means that the bootloader software components of the RedPitaya will not show up as projects in the Xilinx SDK GUI.

As a consequence, if you want to modify settings of the first stage boot loader, the u-boot loader, or the linux devicetree, you will need to edit the configuration files by hand.

The software itself is not broken, only the additional data that would enable the XSDK to interpret and display it correctly is missing.
(The reason why it is not included is that this data is tightly coupled to the computer that was used to generate it. Much like installed software in older windows versions, just copying the folder will not work. It's an XSDK issue.)
