Hello Nils/guys,
I recently bought the kit, also I am new to this kit and just recently started learning FPGA as well . I am now trying the FPGA tutorial Blink for my own understanding. I have installed Xilinx vivado in windows 7 and I am stuck with the step "converting into promfile". The tutorial that has been posted in the red pitaiya page is for Linux and you have mentioned "it has to be converted into a prom file via the promgen utility from the Lab Tools" before integrating it with the kit. Similarly can you please provide me the prom file conversion steps in windows operating system or should I have to use Linux only??
Quick reply is very much appreciated.

Re: FPGA tutorial Blink
Hi Prabhu,
The Windows version of LabTools also has the promgen utility, and the procedure to use it is basically the same - execute LabTools/settings64.bat then call promgen.exe with the same parameters as in linux.
Good luck
Nils
