FPGA Version number / ID

Hi,

I am working on a modified FPGA image and there will be several version. Ideally I would like to be able to read a version number of the FPGA code using the API. So I can output the version number in the running C-application.

Is there something similar already implemented?

Xilinx ZYNQ has the USR_ACCESS register for this kind of purposes:
