Coincidence and timing using STEMlab

Post by boson » Thu Oct 26, 2017 3:42 pm

For our undergraduate physics labs we'd love to have the Red Pitaya STEMlab measure:
- coincidence of two pulses (for instance for detecting two photons at two detectors)
- timing between two pulses (for instance for muons travelling through two scintillators and giving us two detected pulses)

It seems like all the functionality is built into the logic analyzer, as long as we could read that data from outside the web app. There is a forum post elsewhere discussing controlling the Bode app from matlab ( viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1725 ). Is there any way to do the same for the logic analyzer?

thanks!

Hi,

I think that a perfect solution for you would be to use jupyter. Which is also supported on Red Pitaya, description and examples can be found here .

best of luck
