urgent help needed

Hi All,

I want to connect to my red pitaya using static IP... I have all the correct LEDs going, blue-green-flashing red-on/off yellow...

In which file to I need to change to static IP and if I connect my red pitaya directly to my computer (fedora,ssh) and changed the etho settings to match the static IP..

But I still can't get any connection with ssh root@staticIP..

Any ideas?

With the v0.94 Red Pitaya image, you need to change the file /etc/network/interfaces.d/eth0 if you want to set a static ip for ethernet.

Something like this will do:

    gateway 192.168.1.1

I'm trying to do the same thing but I have very little experience!- I have connected the RP directly to my MAC and
if I leave the WIFI on the MAC on I can connect with an IP address provided by my router. But I really want to connect to the RP directly without connecting via the router. I have version 0.95. and I can find a file called interfaces which I have edited but it doesn't allow me to ssh?
Any help much appreciated

You should be editing this file: /etc/network/interfaces.d/eth0

Thanks I did that but I also had to fix the IP address on MAC. The connection now works fine
