Static IP settings
Hi all
i m using ed pitaya with the latest firmware ( downloaded 2 June 2016).
How can i change the IP configuration to use a static IP? There are many forum posts but they refer to older versions of the firmware i guess. I see directory names that do not exist now.
To concluse, i have asked my network admin to allocate me an IP, i tried to change the configuration file to use static IP but red pitaya is not on my network.
Checked with the serial terminal and the IP is sill 192.68.1.100
Many thanks in advance

Re: Static IP settings
This post is applicable for the current release. Keep in mind that you can't access the neccessary files on the sd-card in Windows (as explained later in that topic).

Is the correct file located here /ect/network/interfaces.d/eth0 ?

/etc/network/interfaces.d/eth0 , that's right.

Re: Static IP settings
Hi all!
I'm using the last release (v0.96-RC1-20-14_jul) and the above solution to set a static IP doesn't work anymore.
In my /etc/network folder I only have this:
but no interfaces.d.
I tried to create it and put the eth0 file, but it still doesn't work.
Nevertheless, it works when I enter
Should I put this line in a script that will be launched automatically at start-up? Somebody has a better solution?
Thanks!

Code: Select all
ip address replace 192.168.0.101 dev eth0
Thanks!

Re: Static IP settings
Very helpful, for some reason my ip changes quite frequently because we keep having power outages.billly wrote:Thanks a lot for the reply.
