Boot up connection error

Hi all,

I have had my Red Pitaya up and running perfectly over my network connection, however it now crashes on startup. When the OS boots the red pitaya freezes at the line “Starting Registering Red Pitaya boa...ss and IP address to a server...” (full communication attached). The red heartbeat LED stops blinking (green and blue LEDs are fine).

This problem appeared after I tried connecting a device to the USB OTG port.

I have re-prepared the SD card, tried booting with no internet connection, tried a different sd card, and checked all the test point voltages (they are all fine) with all attempts ending at this same line.

Does have anyone have any idea why this might be happening or how to fix it?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I have the same problem, could you please tell me if you solved this issue? I tried pretty much everything.

Hi,
Unfortunately there was no solution to the problem.
I had to return the Redpitaya and it was then replaced with a new unit.

I saw an U-boot boot sequence showing errors reading the SD card, so I checked, the FAT partition on the image was corrupted.
This probably happened because I used a shortcut to update the FAT partition of the image instead of rebuilding the image entirely.

Please try a slightly newer release candidate, linked as the current beta:

Sorry, I see now this post is probably about an unrelated issue, so this would not be a fix.
