Using HDSDR firmware question

Sorry, another newbie question. I am now successfully running the RP firmware that allows the use of HDSDR as a single SDR receiver, but I am unsure what the LO frequency should be set to in the HDSDR software? It doesn't seem to matter, and tunes OK with different LO's set, can anyone advise please?
I am also contemplating using the HPSDR firmware on another SD card to try and receive on LF and MF WSPR digital modes from the same antenna. With an antenna splitter is that possible with the RP please? I think I will need two sound cards for this? Thanks!
