Ripple in ADC input.

Post by rsvoid » Wed Oct 17, 2018 11:44 pm

Hi, I am trying to send some data (green line) across the DAC and loop it back to the ADC to read it back. The Blue line, which is the ADC signal, shows some ripple. The signal is a detector response with a rise time of 5-10 ns and a die-away of 20-30 ns.

As you can see, it does not happen when sampling sine waves, even at a very high frequency.

Was wondering if anyone has a solution to this.

EDIT: when investigating the DAC output with an oscilloscope, it was found to be oscillating as well.
