Web interface broken after update?

Hello I just tried updating Red Pitaya through http://rp-f046c0.local/updater/
The update never actually finished (~15 minutes). It got stuck at "preparing to run"
After a manual reboot, the home page is quite empty but a new power button appeared, and on the bottom right: version undefined.
now when going to http://rp-f046c0.local/updater/ the updater gets stuck at checking update with the error message "Unable to connect to the update server. Please check your internet connection or try again later" But ping google from the target command line tell me that the internet connection is fine
The application seems to still work, for example, "http://rp-f046c0.local/scopegenpro/?type=run" show the scope running.

Is there a way to manually fix this since I don't have physical access to the device?

Kind regards
Andreas

Ah so it looks like red pitaya ran out of disk space and there are 1Gb of error and debug logs

root@rp-f046c0:/var/log/redpitaya_nginx# ls -l
total 1062328
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 889610240 Jan 22 18:56 debug.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 197926912 Jan 22 18:56 error.log
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 225 Jan 22 18:36 rp_sdk.log
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 271945 Jan 22 03:49 ws_server.log

The errors came from an application, now after deleting the log the web interface is still broken and the updater still complains about not being able to connect to the server. Is there a way to recover the update?
