OS 2.00-15 experience
Hello,
testing the new OS I found, that it did not start at all with my RP. The green LED is on permanently, and nothing is going on. When I go back to OS 1.04-28 it is working as before.
I used the balena diskimager, and this worked perfectly and errorfree by validation.
Maybe my RP 125-14 is not suitable for this.
Regards
Dieter

Hello Dieter,
The OS 2.00-15 should boot on the STEMlab 125-14. Please try the following:

Re: OS 2.00-15 experience
Hello,
your tip is very likely the case with my problem. I am sure that my RP does have the same entry (Version 1.1), because it is from 2015, and probably later devices have a different entry to make sure that the devices can be differentiated.
I tried to get Putty started, but without success. I am not sure with the IP-Address, I am not sure with the serial settings. I used 192.168.1.100 as IP, and 115200 Baud, connected LAN and USB, but Putty runs into timeout all the time.
In my opinion it would be a much better solution anyway, to get a revised OS, where the older entries are accepted as well. I am sure there are possibilities.
Best regards
Dieter

Please use the latest Beta OS that is not 2.0 to set up the correct naming in the memory. The IP address you can see in the networking sub menu

Re: OS 2.00-15 experience
Hello,
in fact I used 1.04.28, but network submenu? I looked into RP's network manager, but this did not work either (as expected). From the Windows 11 settings, I don't know where the IP address can be found, there are many many complex entries. I know I was able to get putty running with a much older PC, probably Win-XP.
But I am sure, that wired connection works, because I am able to start with http://rp-f0073f.local/, with the WiFi stone unplugged, and can get access to the apps.
Best regards
Dieter

Re: OS 2.00-15 experience
Hi Dieter,
Please try using the rp-f0073f.local instead of the IP address in Putty. This should circumvent the need for the IP address (also works for SSH connection, etc.).

Re: OS 2.00-15 experience
Hello,
yes, this works. I have got a cutout of putty's output:
baudrate=115200
ipaddr=10.10.70.102
.
.
ethaddr=00:26:32:F0:07:3F
nav_code=4662
hw_rev=1.1
serial=141600851
As you can see, I have the same entry 1.1, which has to be changed. I even can see the IP address now.
I have to search for a precision pin to get access to TP1A (to connect to GND), and then I will try to change the hw_rev-entry as described.
Thanks for helping up to now, I will try to get it done soon.

Hello,
yes, I've done it. But there are only few apps there, and the choice of Unlock New Benefits is a problem for me, to get all the data from my very old invoice. It is just impossible for me.
I hope I can get all the other apps somehow, that would be great.
Best regards
Dieter

Hi,
everything is at its place now.
Still one question: The VNA, the MCPHA and SDR need separate SD cards? Can they be copied in additon to the Ecosystem?
Best regards
