High speed acquisition around 300Hz for STEMLab 125-14 4 Input

Post by ntu_r09222078 » Fri Jan 19, 2024 3:45 pm

I followed the suggestions for data acquisition from the website below:
https://redpitaya.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... oting.html
for STEMLab 125-14 4 Input. The first one about "Oscilloscope" is ruled out because I need remote data collection. For the second method "SCPI data acquisition", is this method the same as the "acquire" command when logged into red pitaya linux system through ssh?
I tried acquiring 100Hz pulse continuously (with high = 0, low =-50mV and duty cycle of 90%) for 10 seconds but sadly only 10 pulses are recorded, which is too slow for my purpose. The command and options I used were "acquire -t 1N -o -l -0.03 16384 1".

I am looking for a method that can acquire maximally ~300Hz signal. I looked into the Deep memory Acquisition method but it mentioned that I should have "Red Pitaya device (except STEMlab 125-14 4-Input)". Does this means that for the 4 input board such method is impossible?

I wonder for the other methods like using the "API commands" and "Streaming", can my goal of acquiring ~300Hz signal possible? Or else there are any other methods possible? I look forward to any suggestions and ideas :D

Hello ntu_r09222078,

The note was there temporarily because the DMA feature was not yet implemented for the 4-input.
I need to ask the team whether this feature is available for the 4-Input in the 2.00-30 OS.

The best way for continuous signal acquisition is the Streaming application:
https://redpitaya.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... #streaming
Where the data is saved to a file on a computer.

The API commands are not the best solution here, as they still only capture 16384 sample-long buffers.
