"Connection refused" from the client

Post by blacksea680 » Fri May 10, 2024 7:53 pm

I'm trying to make Anton Potocnik's high bandwidth averager project (https://antonpotocnik.com/?p=514765) work. Everything has been going well until the last step where I need to run the program on the client. When I press the start button, nothing gets plotted and I get an error message: "Connection refused" (here is a link to the screenshot:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ROTRFE ... sp=sharing). I checked the port and the IP of RP and they both seem correct. Based on @juretrn's advice, I tried finding the SCPI of the GUI, but the GUI is written separately and there are no settings for SCPI enabling. Does anyone have any suggestions what the problem might be, or where I can find/add the SCPI settings on the averager.py code (https://github.com/apotocnik/redpitaya_ ... verager.py)?

Hello blacksea680,

Thank you for writing on the forum.
There are two things that might affect this outcome:
- Please make sure that the "server.c" application is running on the Red Pitaya board. Otherwise, Red Pitaya will refuse the connection.
- What Red Pitaya OS is installed on your board?
- What Python version are you running on your computer? Also, make sure all the libraries are installed.
