OK
I have static IP on notebook with 192.168.0.1 and 255.255.255.0. DNS setting empty.
So, what ip address I have to set in my notebook browser in order to find RP card?

192.168.0.15 doesn't work
192.168.0.15/24 doesn't work
192.168.0.1 doesn't work

rp-last6digitofmacaddress.local/ doesn't work

connecting to RP website and use discovery service with my RP mac adress, doesn't work

 RP for dummies....

Hey!

I have exactly the same problem.
I just don't know:
- if I have to set IPv6 or IPv4 on my computer?
- which DNS server do I have to use? 8.8.8.8.8.8.4.4 is not accepted as IPv6 DNS IP address and is too long for a IPv4 DNS IP address.

I thank you a lot for your help!
Quentin

Use 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 (these are Google's primary and secondary DNS servers). As far as I can tell, you only need to set the DNS servers for the RP configuration so that the web app can contact the server to check for software updates.
