Logic analyzer pro extension module for input protection

Hello RP gurus!
I own STWEMlab 125-14 with logic analyzer (pro) extension module. Since extension module accepts input voltages from 2-5V with ESD protection, I would like to use it for my own FPGA learning projects. I use 3.3 and 5V systems and that would simplify things and protect my red pitaya from possible 3.3-5V mismatch. Is it possible to use this extension as input protection?
