new red pitaya with inductor 223D broken off

I just received the Red Pitaya STEM 125-14 Diagnostic kit. When I opened the box, I found the Red Pitaya lying in the box, and I immediately noticed that one of the electronics parts was loose. I identified it as an inductor 223D that is next to the memory chip.

Here is my question. Is the board still functioning without this inductor, or should I get a replacement? I suspect that it was knocked loose in transport. It was just lying in the box with the aluminum cases and other stuff.

Should I attempt to resolder the inductor? I have a hot air station and microsoldering capabilities.

Hope you can help me.

Hi,

if you have the capability to solder it back up, I see no reason not to do it.

Test the board and if it works Ok you're done.

Otherwise just ask for a new one.
