I have an original red pitaya "Diagnostic Kit" from early 2014. (Invoice was on Feb 2014 for $399)
I used it a few times in the past as an oscilloscope and SDR receiver (with Pavel's software).
I am now planning to use it as an SDR receiver again, ideally native on macos (without MS windows).
I believe this is the same as the 125/14 board. With 4Gb ram afaict.
However, this board is stamped with "v1.0".
The current "STEMLab 125/14" notes "originally Red Pitaya v1.1".
What is the difference between 125/14 v1.0 and v1.1 boards?
Anything I should be aware of using this board?
(pictures of the board I have can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/5pSeXv9 )
thx

Re: Original Red Pitaya?
Hi, thanks you for posting.
It is the same board, we just had to change the naming scheme. The hardware differences are minimal and not relevant.

Re: Original Red Pitaya?
I just came here to ask this exact question
I bought the original "Diagnostic Kit" in the Kickstarter campaign back in 2013/2014 but then life happened and I really didn't do much with it. Dusting it off now and want to make use of it. I had installed the up to date OS OK (some months ago*) but I'm having some trouble getting any sensible readings out of it in the Scope&Sig Gen App. I began to wonder if the hardware was no longer compatible and now an ornament only perhaps.
*** Really pleased to read that the v1.0 'Original' should be functionally the same as "STEMLab 125/14" ***
I'll start a new thread re: my current problem.
Kind regards,
Daniel
* Edit: I hadn't got the latest OS, it was 1.0x something but not current.
I have now updated to current stable version:
#############################
# Red Pitaya GNU/Linux Ecosystem
# Version: 1.04
# Build: 7
The 'new' (to me at least) Calibration App in the Web interface worked perfectly and I can now measure things properly with my RP

Re: Original Red Pitaya?
Hi, i have the same question; it is about the hamlab 160-6 rig which i’m buying from a retailer Who has some available.
I know very little about it so i start with questions:
What board version it uses?
Can i update OS as for the newest 125/14 board?
