Stem LAB SDR transceiver module

Post by Pibo » Thu Dec 03, 2020 10:14 am

Hello all!

Can someone tell me why this module is not compatible with RP 122-16?

Is it HW or SW problem?

Regards with respect!

Definitely not for the SDRlab units.

They are not compatible because of input/output voltage ranges, impedance differences and also the filtering is not appropriate for the exchange.

Please note that the transceiver is compatible only with the 14 bit board. However the 16 bit SDRlab has been designed specially for SDR work in the sense that it has more dynamic range due to increased number of bits, bigger FPGA for more complex real time signal processing, noticeable increased noise performance, no more limiting filters on the inputs. You can use any power amplifier suitable for it, but unfortunately we do not have one at this moment. Please note that the SDRlab units do not have DC coupling; the low frequency starts at 300KHz. Also there is no application marketspace with it. All aps are included in the OS.
