Comparison between the SIGNALlab 250-12 and STEMlab 125-14

Post by QOWeis » Mon Dec 14, 2020 5:36 pm

Hello,

I want to purchase a RP and I am currently hesitating between the STEMlab 125-14 and the SIGNALlab 250-12. I saw in the documentation that the 250-12 has a higher sampling rate, but surprisingly it still has a RF input bandwidth of 60 MHz, exactly the same as the 125-14. I don't understand the advantage of having a higher sampling rate if the input bandwidth remains the same. Can anyone explain to me what I am missing?

In addition to this, what other advantages does the 250-12 has? For example in terms of SNR of the RF analog inputs.

Thank you in advance and have a great day

The new SIGNALlab 250-12 is a two-channel 250 Msps 12-bit signal acquisition and two-channel 250 Msps 14-bit signal generator module with Zynq 7020 Dual-Core ARM cortex-A9 CPU and FPGA, 1GB DDR memory and 1 Gbit Ethernet connectivity. Accuracy and quality of the signal is assured with 12-bit A/D converter resolution, the frequency response of ±0.5 dB up to 45MHz and -3dB at 60MHz and channel isolation >60 dB (DC to 100MHz).
