Why is the trigger level of STEMlab 125-14 the range of +/-1V when HV GAIN is selected

Hi,
I use labVIEW and STEMlab 125-14 to collect the signal of 3V by selecting HV GAIN option and the jumper of board is set to HV. When the signal is 2V and I set the trigger level to 2.5V, the trigger should not work, but the return value of wait or trigger.vi is the flash of TD or error and the board is the status of trigger. When the signal and the trigger level is the range of +/-1V, it is normal. Why cannot the trigger level exceed the +/-1V selecting HV GAIN? Is this the bug of the firmware? Please give me some advice, thank you!
