GPIO as Input

Post by irain04 » Tue Jul 28, 2015 12:15 pm

Hi all,

I'm a newbie here. I'm using 2 GPIOs as inputs for my design on FPGA. I use exp_p_io[1] and exp_p_io[2] as reset and start signals respectively.
My design doesn't work and I'm trying to debug it. I tried to test the GPIO pins by assigning them to LED on board to display.

Code: Select all

assign led_o[1] = exp_p_io[1];
After loading FPGA, I tried connect DIO1_P to GND and 3V3 (pin 1) but nothing happened.

Would you please tell me what I should do to use GPIO as input and how to test it?

Thank you very much.

I'd need a bit more detail: did you just add the line, did you make sure that no other statement conflicts with your assignment (the line "assign led_o = led_reg ;" comes to mind) ?
