Can the RP be powered via a USB port?
I used my RP a few years ago, then set it aside. From memory I never got a plug top type PSU with it, and as it would have had to have a micro USB connector on it I think I would have remembered. So maybe I powered it from the full size PC's USB port? is that a practical option? if not where can I get a quiet PSU with micro usb plug, as my RP is going to hopefully do service as an SDR low frequency and MF receiver. Thanks, the joy of getting old, "Now how did I do this....?"

According to the Red Pitaya documentation, a 5 V / 2 A micro USB power supply is required:

From my experience, a low noise power supply does improve the radio reception.
I use a micro-USB power cable connected to a linear laboratory power supply. Here is a link to the micro-USB power cable that I bought:

Looks like it's possible to buy a linear laboratory power supply that doesn't cost too much:

Re: Can the RP be powered via a USB port?
Thanks for the fast reply. I have obviously misplaced the original PSU so have ordered another generic 2.4 Amp micro usb one for now from RS. I have a couple of bench supplies, but apart from cannibalising my smart phone charger cable | don't have any micro usb connectors, so I'll have to be patient, thanks for your help!
