An "uprated" 16 bit Red Pitaya is being manufactured with pre orders now
being taken. I use a Red Pitaya for LF and MF amateur band reception with a
slightly modded front end and a pre amp. In simple terms could someone
explain what advantages I might see with the new version? Mine is the
early 14 bit one. Thanks.

Re: New Red Pitaya 16 bit question
IMHO, for radio amateur purposes, if the change to 16 bits does not imply a clear S/N ratio improvement, it is not worth changing from 14 to 16 bits.
I own a 14 bits one for SDR purposes and what really find useful is the possibility of diversity in reception and being able to null or reduce local interferences. ! What a diffeernce !.
