Hello,
I've received my rp yesterday. But till now, I've been unable to access the unit over a network connection.
The RP is connected to a router (D-link) with the DHCP server enabled. (The DHCP server works just fine with any other device connected to it.)
-The RP is booting fine. The required LED's are on and the first one is flashing at a 1hz rate.
-I've connected the rp to my computer without a router in between. Same problem. (changed network card settings and rp config file and the other file)
-Tried to research if I can make the ethernet interface on the rp to work only in 100 or 10 MB mode. Because that's where I think it's going wrong. (Didn't find a proper way to do that.)
-tried an other network cable.
-Tried an other router. Same problem.
-Wasted 4 hours
In any case, I can not find any device connected to my router.
The config file looks like this:
"
# $Id: interfaces 955 2014-01-16 13:15:20Z ales.bardorfer $
#
# Red Pitaya network configuration
#

# Don't forget to set the static DNS IP in sd:/etc/init.d/rcS too.
#iface eth0 inet static

# netmask 255.255.255.0
# gateway 192.168.0.1

Re: Network problem
I would suggest that you first do a fresh installation of Red Pitaya OS (without any network configuration changes)
and simply connect your Red Pitaya to your router. Then try to connect using our connection wizard
that will let you know Red Pitaya's IP.
In most cases this should work without any problems, but sometimes users have limited access to the Internet,
and this makes wizard unable to provide the Red Pitaya's IP.
In such situation it is best to connect to the Red Pitaya over USB console.
Once you are connected, you can:
- issue ifconfig command in order to find out your Red Pitaya's IP and try to connect to it, by simply writing this IP into your
Internet browser
- try to ping our web server to confirm that your Red Pitaya can access it (this is mandatory if you would like to use connection
wizard or install new applications from the Bazaar)

Re: Network problem
Hello,
I've been able to find out why it doesn't work. Only thing is, I don't know how to solve this problem
The RP can not read the required files on the SD card . /etc/network/interfaces an some other files can not be found.
The SD card is a 4G card formatted as FAT32 on a windows box.
Best regards, Hendrik

Re: Network problem
could you fix the Problem?
I am not a Linux Crack and my RP works fine out of the Box.
But since i updated to the latest Version i got the same Problem.
Tried to fix it by reformating the SD Card and unziping a fresh download of the ecosystem,
but still having the same "File not found" Errors.
What is my mistake?
(What RP outputs via Console as an attachment)
Current partitioning scheme:
redpitaya> fdisk -l /dev/mmcblk0
Disk /dev/mmcblk0: 3875 MB, 3875536896 bytes
86 heads, 21 sectors/track, 4191 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1806 * 512 = 924672 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/mmcblk0p1 5 4192 3780608 b Win95 FAT32

Re: Network problem
In my case, a similar problem (mounting /opt) was solved when I replaced the class-4 SD card with a Class-10 SD card, which is faster apparently. Hope this helps?
